Motorcycle Routes in Antalya

Follow the D400 coastal highway east from Antalya, with the Mediterranean on your right and the Taurus Mountains on your left. The road passes citrus orchards, seaside villages and cliffs before it reaches the historic town of Alanya.

Climb out of Antalya into the Taurus Mountains to Avlan Lake, a quiet mountain reservoir surrounded by pine forest and high plateaus. The route crosses the cool uplands of Korkuteli and the apple orchards of Elmalı, then loops back to the coast.

Follow the Lycian coast southwest to ancient ruins, turquoise bays and the natural flames of Yanartaş, which have burned since antiquity. The road runs through Kemer and then into pine forest towards Olympos.

Ride east on the D400 to Manavgat, where the river drops over wide cascades into turquoise pools. The waterfall flows all year and is a few minutes from the town centre, so it works as a stop before you continue to the ancient ruins of Side.

Head west from Antalya along the Lycian coast. The route combines cliff roads with sea views, harbour towns and ancient ruins. Plan at least two days.

Ride into Antalya's old quarter, where 2,000-year-old Roman walls stand next to Ottoman mansions and a harbour cut into the rock. Park at Hadrian's Gate, walk the cobbled lanes to Hıdırlık Tower on the cliff and look over the bay where trading ships once anchored. It is a few minutes from the city centre.
