Spring: March to May (Highly Recommended)

Spring is the finest time to ride in Antalya. Temperatures range from 18°C in March to 28°C in May — warm enough for comfortable riding without the intense heat of summer. The Taurus Mountains are still snow-capped in March and early April, creating a dramatic backdrop to coastal rides.

Road traffic is significantly lighter than in summer, accommodation is cheaper, and the landscape is at its most lush after the winter rains. The wildflowers that carpet the Lycian hillsides in April are one of Turkey's most underrated natural spectacles. We strongly recommend booking early for May, as it is our single busiest month.

Summer: June to August (Hot but Busy)

Summer is peak tourist season in Antalya, with temperatures regularly reaching 38–40°C in July and August. This is still entirely rideable — particularly in the early morning and evening when temperatures drop considerably — but mid-afternoon riding on exposed coastal roads can be physically demanding.

The mountain roads above 1,000 metres remain comfortable even in July, making the Taurus loop a particularly good summer choice. Bikes should be booked at least 2–3 weeks in advance during summer, as availability can be limited for the larger adventure models.

Autumn: September to November (Highly Recommended)

September and October are arguably the best months of the entire year for motorcycle riding in Antalya. The intense summer heat has broken, temperatures settle between 22–32°C, the sea is still warm for swimming during lunch stops, and the tourist crowds have thinned significantly.

October is when the light turns golden on the Taurus Mountains and the coastal olive groves begin their harvest. Road surfaces are dry and clean after summer. November brings the first rain of the season, usually mid-month — before that, conditions remain excellent.

Winter: December to February (Limited but Possible)

Antalya city itself rarely drops below 10°C, making winter riding possible on sheltered coastal routes. However, the mountain roads above 800 metres can be icy and are occasionally closed after snowfall. We operate year-round, but advise winter visitors to plan routes that stay below 500 metres altitude.

The winter advantage is absolute quiet on the roads and rates that are typically 20–30% lower than peak season. If you want to ride the D400 coastal highway in complete solitude — December and January deliver exactly that.

Late February can bring early warmth. March: avg 14°C, first warm days. Spring wildflowers begin. Light rain possible. April: avg 18°C, excellent conditions. Taurus still snow-capped. Ideal photography light. May: avg 23°C, peak spring. Our busiest month — book early.

June: avg 29°C, last comfortable month before peak heat. Roads get busier. July: avg 33°C, peak heat. Ride early morning (06:00–10:00) or evening (17:00–20:00). August: avg 33°C, same as July. Absolute peak season — all bikes should be booked 3–4 weeks ahead. September: avg 29°C, heat breaks mid-month. One of the best months. October: avg 23°C, ideal conditions return. Crowds thin dramatically.

November: avg 17°C, cooling noticeably. First rain usually mid-month. Still rideable on coastal routes. December: avg 12°C, quiet roads and lower prices. Some mountain roads may close after rain. The city itself is very pleasant. Year-round summary: Antalya never completely closes for motorcycles. Even in January, coastal rides are entirely possible on dry days — it is simply a matter of choosing appropriate routes and timing your departure for the midday warmth.

Best Routes by Season

Spring (March–May): The Taurus Mountain loop via Termessos is at its absolute finest in spring. The ancient ruins of Termessos sit at 1,000 metres altitude and are surrounded by dense cedar forest. In April, the forest floor is carpeted with wildflowers visible from the road. The D400 coastal route to Kaş is ideal in May — perfect temperatures and light traffic. The Saklıkent Gorge road, which turns off the D400 near Kınık, is another spring favourite: a narrow canyon with ice-cold meltwater running through it, accessible on foot from the road.

Summer (June–August): Focus on altitude. The mountain roads above Elmalı and through the Beydağları Olympos National Park plateau stay at 20–25°C even in July. The road from Antalya to Isparta via Korkuteli climbs through apple orchards and pine forest — a dramatic contrast to the coast 30km below. In the early morning, the coastal road from Antalya east toward Alanya is beautiful: light traffic, golden light, and the sea at its calmest before the afternoon winds pick up.

Autumn (September–October): This is the season for the full Lycian coast — Antalya to Kaş and beyond to Fethiye if you have the time. In October, the cotton and citrus harvests are in full swing around Finike and Kumluca, and the roadside stalls selling fresh pomegranate juice and mandarins are part of the riding experience. The Saklıkent road is equally beautiful in autumn foliage. Winter (November–February): Stick to the D400 coastal highway west of Antalya toward Kemer. Below 200m altitude, the road is always dry and the scenery remains dramatic even in grey light.

For May, September, and October — our three peak months — we recommend booking at least 3 weeks in advance for any of our premium models (BMW GS series, Africa Twin). The 125cc and 250cc scooter range is available with less notice, but even these can sell out during Turkish public holidays (check the official Turkish holiday calendar before booking).
